Encounters film festival, set to begin mid August, promises another lineup of more than 50 films, in this the 12th film festival. Whilst budgets have been cut, the festival submissions and interest hasn't abated.

Denis Delestrac (France / Spain), Yoruba Richen (USA), Stefanie Brockhaus, Andy Wolff (Germany), Cliff Bestall, Rehad Desai, Jo Menell, Riaan Hendricks and Omelga Mthiyane will be exhibiting and in attendance at the Festival.

This year marks the first time that The Bioscope will be used as a satellite cinema, in which you'll be able to take in all of the Encounters films!

The encounters film festival shall be hosted by  Nu Metro at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and the Labia on Orange on the 12 - 29 August 2010, and shall additionally be screened in Johannesburg at the The Bioscope from the 18 - 29 August 2010. Ticket prices for all shows are set at R39
