Any football game which goes down to a lottery suddenly stops being fun. As a supported of The Blues, the finger-pointing is already tiresome. John Terry is the obvious recipient of blame. Terry, the captain who brought the team to Moscow, their first ever UEFA final. It doesn't seem fair. Had he not slipped, had he been wearing other footware (etcetera, etcetera), the team would have converted their final penalty and held the trophy.
I blame Drogba. Had Didier not struck a ManYoo player and been red carded, he would have been one of the preferred penalty takers and John Terry would not have had to bravely approach the 12-yard line as number 5. Drogba must have known what his reaction was going to get him, especially at his level and with his experience. Only minutes away from penalties too. There is no sense in arrogance, it seems.
